Our founder, CA Karan Chetan Shah, is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI Membership No. 190724) and a Registered Valuer under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Reg. No. IBBI/RV/06/2024/15561, asset class: Securities and Financial Assets), as well as a CFA Level 3 candidate. Both registrations are checkable on the ICAI and IBBI public registers. That combination matters in practice: a valuation for a funding round, a scheme of arrangement or an ESOP grant must come from a Registered Valuer, and most CA firms have to refer that work out.

GST and income tax get attention because they are monthly and visible. What catches Mumbai businesses out is the rest: AOC-4 and MGT-7 at ₹100 per day per form with no cap, DIR-3 KYC, Maharashtra professional tax, MCGM Shops and Establishments registration, and Labour Welfare Fund contributions in June and December.
